Pattern Inspiration | Forget me Nots

Updated: Aug 22

When I walk in the garden in Springtime I find this sweet Forget me Not flower covering the flower bed borders in a cloud of blue. Each little flower has a centre of pink or yellow which sings to the early pollinators and brings the garden to life. What I didn't know until recently is that when the centre turns to white the flower is a sign to the insect world that the flower has already been pollinated.

I have such a fondness for Forget me Nots and they hold such a special place in my heart, reminding me of days gone past and people that are no longer with us.

Do you have a flower that brings back happy memories?

These are some of the photos that have inspired this pattern and others in this 'Missy Rose' collection. Click the link to take a look at the other flowers that compliment the Forget me Not flowers.
